What is return to work conditioning?

Return to work conditioning is designed to safely return injured workers to work as quickly and safely as possible. Physical therapists create a program that mimics the injured worker’s job duties to assess deficiencies and address them. The goal is to bring function back to the level needed for job performance goals.

What are the benefits?

In addition to getting injured workers back on the job, return to work conditioning is intended to increase strength, endurance and cardiovascular function, mobility and flexibility, ergonomics, safe lifting and body mechanics. Patients will better understand how different movements affect their body through treatment, making them less susceptible to reinjury.
